About Us
A family business, Happier Every Chapter started life in 2019 when our eldest daughters, Kirsten and Aiyven; avid readers and keen writers entered the BBC 500 Words Competition.
Although they didn't win, they built on their entries and published a middle-grade novel each in April 2020! Marketing their books in the wake of the death of George Floyd, we realised there was a huge gap in the market for diverse books for children.
Happier Every Chapter launched in October 2020 to curate diverse and inclusive books for kids as a way to share our love for reading and promote diversity awareness. Their achievements gained much interest leading to Kirsten and Aiyven being featured in outlets including, Disney, BBC, The Independent etc. Today, the girls deliver author visits and very popular creative writing workshops in primary and secondary schools U.K. wide

kids and adults alike, library diversity audits, book bundles to schools wishing to diversify their libraries and keynote speaking engagements at corporate/education events on intentional inclusion and ways to diversify the curriculum.
