Our Feature on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch!
I don't think we can express just how shocked we were when we were contacted by Channel 4 asking us if we'd like to feature on Steph's Packed Lunch, a daytime chat show. They told us that they were holding a young entrepreneurs segment on the show and asked us if we wanted to feature not only Happier Every Chapter, but our books too - of course we jumped at this incredible opportunity and said yes! We didn't tell anyone about our it prior to us going on TV and it was the hardest secret to keep!
They film the show up in Leeds, meaning we had to travel up there the night before from Northampton as it was an early start on the day. We didn't realise just how much rehearsals and preparation goes into a show like this, and with the coronavirus it makes things that extra bit tricky. We started our rehearsals at around 8am even though the show doesn't start until midday. It was during these rehearsals that we were starstruck when we met Oti from Strictly Come Dancing who was featuring on the show too!
Although we looked fairly confident when we were live on TV, we wouldn't be lying if we said we weren't extremely nervous the hours and days before! I think that once the cameras were rolling we were fuelled with adrenaline that really helped us through our interview.
As with any press coverage we receive, we are so grateful for the opportunity! It was an incredible day for us and it really helped us to spread the word about who we are and what we do across the nation. Being on live TV is also a pretty good excuse to get out of online classes!!
