Our First Delivery To Quinton House School
BNI works a treat!
Yesterday, Happier Every Chapter delivered the first of many bundles of diverse and representative books to @quintonhouseschool in Northampton. Thank you immensely @Luna Fakude for the referral to @thomas muskin the inspirational Headmaster @ Quinton House.
A joy of a client to work with. Reading for pleasure being inspired, diversity awareness being boosted. There is nothing like feeling represented and even more so that you belong. Our theme this January is "Chinese New Hare". Catch the play of words? 22nd January is Chinese New Year. It is the Year of the Rabbit, a symbol of longevity, peace and prosperity. We did not fail to bring bookish joy with some amazing titles that tell of Chinese history/mythology and also celebrated authors of Chinese heritage (like Khoa Le (Vietnamese but they also celebrate Tet or Chinese New Year), Aree Chung, Kristen Mai Giang & Shirley Chan).
Proud of the work being done, so much more to be done. What strategy or intervention are you employing to improve literacy/reading attainment outcomes in your school? Let us know in the comments. We would love to learn more about your journey.
