Who We Are. What We Do.

Happier Every Chapter is a family-run UK bookshop and literacy service dedicated to improving reading for pleasure, literacy attainment, representation and better social mobility. Our journey began when our daughters, Kirsten and Aiyven, published their own middle-grade novels sparking a mission to get more diverse books into UK schools and homes. Featured by BBC, Disney, and The Independent, our young authors now deliver creative writing workshops and author visits in primary and secondary schools nationwide.

Who Is Happier Every Chapter subscription for?

We have plans for 0-3s (Winning Tots), 4-7s (Little Literates), 8 - 12s (Thought Leaders) &

13-4 year olds (Book Wolves) each expertly curated to ensure that the book selections will be enjoyed by all ages in that plan

Our Book Wolves box for 13 - 14 year olds includes books to engage advanced

readers without the heavy themes which tend to be in Young Adult (YA) books today.

What if I receive a book I have already read?

We love an avid reader here at Happier Every Chapter! Our promise is that there will be no duplicate books in our boxes but

if we send a book you have bought and previously read, let us know by email (hello@happiereverychapter.com) and we will ship an alternative in your next box.

Do you ship internationally?

Of course! We currently ship internationally and costs start from £12. For International customers, shipping takes 5-7 days.

How do I cancel or skip my subscription?

Canceling is easy! You can log into your account, click "Cancel" and then confirm your choice.

If you need a break, you also have the option to pause your subscription or skip a delivery, and your plan will just go on a month longer.

Can I buy a box as a gift or one-off box to try before I subscribe?

Absolutely! There is no greater gift than the gift of reading. Happier Every Chapter boxes make the ideal gift for avid or reluctant readers.

At checkout, just enter the address of the gift recipient as the shipping address.

We also do gift cards ranging from £20 to £100 which can be used in our bookshop or on subscriptions.

All our subscriptions auto-renew, but if you’d like to try one box only, you can

buy any of our boxes for the current month on a one-off basis with no commitment to subscribe.
