Working With Book Aid International

Quoting Alan Johnson, Former UK Education Secretary, "Being able to escape into a book is just a marvellous means of coping." The benefits of reading cannot be overstated. To this end, Happier Every Chapter has joined forces with the awe-inspiring Book Aid International which is has been committed to growing supporting literacy, education and access to books in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa since its launch in 1954.  Over 30 million books have been donated by Book Aid International via partners to school, community and prison libraries in Africa. Book donations are also made to support refugees in war-torn zones like Lebanon, Jordan & Greece. 

 

HOW DO WE HELP?

With every subscription purchase, a brand new book will be donated to Book Aid International. The post-Brexit / Post-Covid world saw a significant drop in donations to Book Aid International, so the need is even more dire than before. In the reading and sharing of books lies one way to peaceful coexistence. It also holds a way of coping through escapism. Buy a Happier Every Chapter subscription box/gift of any length, and we'll be more than happy to set a book aside for the Book Aid International Subscription. Donations are usually shipped to Book Aid once per quarter. 

Distance need not be an issue, with your help and the support of Book Aid International, you'll be sure every book donation your subscription secures will reach the benefactors safe and sound.
