Eyes That Kiss in the Corners by Joanna Ho, illustrated by Dung Ho
A young Asian girl notices that her eyes look different from those of her peers. As she looks at her own eyes and those of her mother, grandmother and little sister, she discovers the beauty and strength they share.
With lyrical language and expressive illustrations, this picture book celebrates family, heritage, identity and the beauty of being yourself. Through the loving connections between generations, the girl learns to appreciate her own unique features and sees her eyes as a reflection of her family's stories, hopes and history.
